Eliza Sabo, DNP, PMHNP-BC, is a dedicated and compassionate psychiatric nurse practitioner. Originally from Toronto, Canada, Eliza immigrated to Glendale AZ with her family in 1996. Eliza’s journey in healthcare began with a distinguished career in the United States Army as a combat medic, where she deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. It was during this deployment that Eliza discovered her passion for mental health. Following her military service, Eliza pursued a career in nursing, obtaining her Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) license. Eliza commenced her nursing career at the Phoenix VA Healthcare System, where she demonstrated exceptional care and commitment to veterans. Her dedication led her to further her education, and in 2017, she completed her Registered Nursing (RN) degree. Eliza’s expertise and compassion shone brightly as she worked on the inpatient mental health unit at the Phoenix VA, providing care for veterans with substance abuse disorders, PTSD, and various other psychiatric illnesses. Her experiences reinforced her commitment to mental health care and inspired her to advance her knowledge and skills further. In 2021, after the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Eliza returned to school at Arizona State University, where she earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP) and became a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). Her doctoral training equipped her with advanced clinical skills and a deep understanding of psychiatric care. Today, Eliza brings her extensive experience and unwavering passion for mental health to our practice. She is committed to providing holistic, patient-centered care and is dedicated to improving the lives of those struggling with mental health challenges. Eliza lives locally with her supportive husband, two wonderful children, and three beloved dogs. Her personal and professional journey reflects her dedication to making a meaningful difference in the lives of her patients
