She is timid but very nice. The only complaint is that the things she prescribed for me didn't help the problem and I had to go back...that's a patient by patient basis, however. You'll find this problem everywhere.

Dr. Elizabeth Smith is a graduate of the University of Virginia and received her M.D. degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She completed her postgraduate internship at Lenox Hill Hospital and completed her Dermatology residency at Mount Sinai where she served as Chief Resident where she worked with some of the leading experts in skin diseases and skin cancer. Dr. Smith also has experience in the most current cosmetic dermatologic procedures available including lasers, fillers (Juvederm, Restylane and Radiesse) and Botox. She is also trained to evaluate the cutting edge of skin care products to reverse the effects of sun and aging and protect and prevent future skin damage
Dr. Smith has authored numerous academic articles published in the leading dermatology journals and frequently lectures at the national dermatology meetings.

Dr. Smith was fine, just not as personable or as communicative as I would have liked. I still find it a little unnerving to have a skin exam, especially with someone new, so I really appreciate when the dermatologist is inquisitive and friendly so I don't feel like I have to think of everything to show her. When I made the appointment originally, I'd asked for a full exam and said that I needed to have some things removed during the appointment. But I learned during today's exam that I would have to make another appointment to have the full exam (five months down the road!) and could only discuss some concerns and have some things removed today; I would need a separate appointment for the removal of one item. So it will mean three trips to the office instead of one.

Dr. Smith really helped with my acne and her treatment options were not crazy expensive. She is usually always booked and because of that sometimes the appointments could be quick but she knows what she is doing. She is very informative and explained my options and which one she thought was best.

My visit was great, but.....
It was the 1st time I had used ZocDoc, and even though I had received multiple reminders, the appt was not showing up on the doctor's schedule. Staff did a very nice job with the situation, but I won't be using ZocDoc again.

I liked that Dr. Smith did exactly what I asked and didn't over-do it on offering products or services. I have been to other dermatologists where I feel like I am with a sales person rather than a doctor and I didn't feel that way with her.
