*** Please note that I am not accepting new patients for the treatment of ADHD and do not prescribe controlled medications (including Adderall, Vyvanse, Klonopin, Xanax, Ativan and other similar medications). I am only accepting patients for psychiatry at this time ***
Emily Garber has been practicing as nurse practitioner since 2010. She has worked in a variety of settings including internal medicine, behavioral health, urgent care, hospitalist medicine, wound and ostomy care, and palliative care. She is dual certified as an adult nurse practitioner and psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner with additional certifications in wound care nurse and hospice and palliative care. She received her B.A. from Brown University, her M.S.N. (Masters of Science in Nursing) from Yale University and her post-master certificate in psychiatric-mental health nursing from University of Saint Joseph. She is affiliated with Saint Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT. She also currently acts as an adjunct professor at Quinnipiac University in the department of nursing.
Emily started this practice due to seeing a need for care that focuses on patient empowerment, education and provides the structure for patients to be able to easily access their provider. She looks forward to working with you to achieve your health goals.
Please note we require 24 hour notice prior to the appointment time for cancellations or we charge a $50.00 no-show fee.
The cash pay fees are $225.00 for an initial evaluation & $125.00 for a follow up. I take various insurances, including Husky, Medicare, United Healthcare, Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross of Connecticut, Cigna, Harvard Pilgrim and Cigna/Oscar as well. If you have a co-pay with your insurance plan, it is due at the time of the visit. While we bill your insurance as a courtesy, it is your responsibility to understand any deductible or co-pay amounts you may have and verifying in-network coverage.

Today was my first time here, & I finally found the doctor I’ve been looking for for over ten years. Emily actually spent time with me and listened to my concerns. She is very nice, & you can tell she cares about her patients instead of treating them like a number. I’m so used to being rushed out the door by previous doctors.
