After years of struggling with really bad eczema, I finally found the right physician. Dr. Jong was the one to finally get it under control. She also helped me move away from the typical steroid treatments. I was a patient of hers until late 2016, when I had to leave to CA. I highly recommend her!

Folsom Dermatology co-founder Dr. Emily Jong brings over 12 years of experience in medical and surgical dermatology to the practice.
Dr. Jong earned her medical degree at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine. She completed her internship at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine, followed by residency at University Hospitals of Cleveland/Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. During her residency, Dr. Jong also participated in an ASDS Dermatologic Surgery Preceptorship through the University of California, Los Angeles.
Born in Missouri and raised in Oregon, Dr. Jong moved to California to attend the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she earned an undergraduate degree in Microbiology.
Prior to founding Folsom Dermatology, Dr. Jong practiced as Senior Partner in Dermatology at Kaiser Permanente in Roseville, California. There she served five years as Chief and Assistant Chief of the Department of Dermatology. Her tenure at Kaiser Permanente also provided the opportunity to work closely with her Folsom Dermatology co-founder, Dr. Patti Satterfield, for nine years. Dr. Jong has expertise in the detection, diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer.
Board certified by the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dr. Jong is pleased to serve a wide range of patients from children to adults and seniors. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters in Granite Bay, as well as fitness activities.

First of all this is a very nice office, the front desk people & medical assistant were very professional & nice. Dr Jong was just great, she explained everything to me, she has such great energy. I chose her due to the other great reviews she has received and now I know why. I wish I could find an internist that was a good.

I have been seeing Dr. Jong for over a decade and she is one of the best physicians I have seen. She listens to your concerns carefully without rushing you and her bedside manner and health care are outstanding. I live a half hour from her office but it is so worth the drive to see her.

Dr Jong was very friendly and efficient. We were running about 12 minutes late for our appointment. They got us in but we waited about a 1/2 hour that was OK but it would have been better if they told us as by Mom 90 years old was getting a little upset.
I really liked Dr Jong and will go back to her myself

Dr. Jong was excellent, she made me feel very comfortable, like I was talking to a friend. She was very thorough, and I did not feel rushed at all. I highly recommend her, and I will definitely be returning for any of my dermatology needs.

Fabulous office & excellent care. I highly recommend Dr. Jong and her staff. Comfortable conservative treatment with all options provided so I am able to make informed choice re:my care. Dr Jong & her staff worked with my insurance co and pharmacy to ensure I was provided coverage for a "new" product. Rarely does an office go the extra mile the way Folsom Dermatology has done for me. Thank you!
