For Dr. Emily Rangel, the opportunity to join Bridgeview Women’s Health is the realization of a dream. She grew up in Lawrence, Kansas but had close ties to both Portland and women’s health.
She completed both medical school and residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. At the completion of her residency in 2011, she was named best laparoscopic surgeon and also received the award for best resident research project. She then spent more then four years in private practice in Corvallis, Oregon where she was named Top Doctor by the “Top of the Valley Awards”. She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Rangel is excited to move to Portland and put down both professional and personal roots here with her family.
While she loves many areas of medicine, Dr. Rangel finds her heart is fullest while taking care of women. Dr. Rangel works hard to treat each patient as an individual and learn their story. She strives to advocate for her patients in all aspects of care and wants to truly be their partner in health.
In her free time, Dr. Rangel enjoys spending time with her boys. Her immediate family includes her three sons, husband and Sully, the family dog. She loves reading, hiking, trips to the beach, travel, exploring new restaurants and spending time with friends. She cheers for the Kansas Jayhawks and has an unabashed penchant for reality TV.
She is delighted to join Bridgeview Women’s Health and is thrilled to be surrounded with women who are passionate about women’s rights.

Dr. Rangel was great. I always feel anxiety at the OBGYN and her demeanor was great. She was warm and engaging while also addressing my questions with clear answers. I am so glad to have found a doctor I can trust. The administrative staff and nurses were also top notch and the office location and parking were very easy.

Check in and MA were both super nice. I saw the NP, Joy, she was wonderful and addressed my concerns without minimalizing them or making me feel embarrassed. I'll be keeping them as my main gyn even though they're a bit far for me.

She listened carefully to my concerns and provided just the right mix of reassurance and medical advice. I will definitely return to her for my annual exam.
