I specialize in medication management and hold a bachelor’s degree in food, nutrition, and exercise science from Florida State University, along with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from the University of South Florida. I also earned a Post-Master's Certificate in Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from Liberty University. I am a dual-certified family and psychiatric nurse. I utilize a holistic treatment approach and collaborate with my clients to achieve overall wellness. I firmly believe that true wellness stems from healing the mind and body. As a mother, wife, sister, and friend, I understand how challenging it can be to balance everything, so I provide support and resources to help manage all phases of life.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I specialize in medication management and collaborate with many excellent therapists. Clients have mentioned that talking to me feels like having a conversation with a friend. My approach is supportive yet straightforward. I am patient and passionate about educating and empowering my clients. In addition to medication, I emphasize lifestyle changes and offer strategies that can be applied after the first visit. Each session includes therapy and psychoeducation, which may involve solution-focused therapy, supportive therapy, and/or cognitive-based therapy. Additionally, I partner with therapists and other providers to promote overall wellness. I'm here to support you throughout your journey!
What is your typical process for working with clients?
The first visit is like a first date. It might feel a bit awkward, and you could feel somewhat nervous. We'll discover more about each other and assess our compatibility. We'll talk about potential diagnoses and whether you meet the criteria. I will share information about medication options, including how they work, their risks, benefits, and possible side effects. Additionally, we'll discuss lifestyle changes that may involve your sleep schedule, diet, exercise, and social interactions. I can also refer you to therapists and suggest supplements that may be beneficial.
In each visit, we'll work toward your goals and well-being. My aim is to involve you in the decision-making process and help you understand how to manage your health, with or without medication. I appreciate feedback, so I encourage my clients to assess my performance and let me know how I can improve as well!
