A faith-integrated psychiatric practice in Nashville, Tennessee, specializing in women's mental health (including pregnancy and postpartum) and whole-person healing for moms, dads, and Christians ready to stop struggling and start living in peace and balance. I believe that healing is possible for anyone, and that it happens fastest when someone finally both tells you the truth about what is going on and stays with you long enough to help you find a sustainable solution.
I built Abide Maternal Psychiatry because I believe you deserve a provider who takes the time to know your full story, who listens to you and believes you when you describe your symptoms, and who walks alongside you as a genuine partner in your healing.
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed in Tennessee. I completed my undergraduate training at Columbia University in New York City, where I studied Neuroscience and Behavior and graduated Magna Cum Laude, and fell in love with everything about the brain. I went on to earn my Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University. I also serve as adjunct faculty at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, where I precept and teach the next generation of psychiatric providers.
My clinical background spans the full spectrum of psychiatric care, from inpatient settings through to outpatient. Watching patients improve month after month, getting to know their families, and being part of real and lasting change in their lives is the work I was made for. My clinical specialties include reproductive psychiatry (including fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond) and the outpatient management of serious mood disorders, including bipolar disorder and psychosis.

Ongoing session: $225 for 25 minutes

Erika presence is overall so welcoming. She doesn’t talk at you, she talks with you and fully wants you to get everything that you are looking for with a team approach to better understand you and your current state. It was easy for me to trust and open up to her very quickly, which meant a lot because I have not had the best experience in the past. I look forward to working with Erika. Erika is absolutely wonderful! She’s a fantastic communicator, excellent listener, puts you at easy right away, is extremely knowledgeable about women’s health for all ages and is part of her specialty (which is what I was looking for), and is exceptionally knowledgeable about medications for my ADHD and autism. I only wish I’d found her years ago!

I initially had an appointment scheduled for Thursday, but an emergency came up which I understand. So I rescheduled for the next day at noon CDT. I waited until the time for the appointment when I was told I'd be given an email with instructions to meet with them online. I never received that email, and didn't get a clear easy to communicate my issues. I keep checking in to see if it was rescheduled again but I noticed it wanted me to rate how the appointment went. No phone call, no email. I'm sure the service could be great if it were provided but I cannot speak that with confidence from my current experience.
