Dr Lally herself is great, as was Lauren on her staff.
The office receptionist was not friendly, and seemed inconvenienced by my being there. I found them on Zocdoc when I searched for a place nearby to get an annual eye exam. When I asked if I could also be seen for a contact lens exam since I needed a new prescription, she looked at me like I was an idiot and said they were a "retinal center" and that they "do refraction but we don't do contacts or glasses."
Thankfully, Lauren had heard the interaction and clarified that they could, in fact, write me a prescription for glasses and contacts. Maybe I'm the idiot, since I didn't know what refraction meant, but my pre-and post-appointment interactions with the condescending receptionist made me feel very unwelcome. I honestly don't look forward to going back, but I will be since Dr. Lally herself was fantastic.

Dr. Lally was direct, personable, and gave a clear explanation of some retinal damage caused by another health issue that I have, due to the wear and tear of aging.
I applaud her for her staff and expertise.
She is an excellent practitioner.

Dr. Erin Lally is a board-certified, fellowship- trained ophthalmologist who specializes in both medical retina and anterior segment surgery. After studying French and Theology as an undergraduate at Georgetown University, she obtained her medical degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. She completed her residency in ophthalmology at Wills Eye Hospital, also in Philadelphia, where she was trained in the medical and surgical management of cataracts, corneal disease, oculoplastic, glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmology, pediatrics, and retina. She then pursued a Medical Retina Fellowship at the Duke University Eye Center, where she studied under Dr. Scott Cousins, a leading expert in medical management of retinal disease.
