About Dr. Lingmin (Lisa) He
Dr. Lingmin (Lisa) He is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical treatment of vitreoretinal disease. She grew up in Cupertino, CA and has a B.S. with distinction and Phi Beta Kappa in biological sciences, an M.S. in management science and engineering, and an M.D. from Stanford University. She stayed at Stanford for her residency training in Ophthalmology, before leaving the Bay Area for two years to pursue a medical and surgical retina fellowship at the Wilmer Eye Institute of Johns Hopkins.
Dr. He has extensive research experience with over 30 published papers and chapters. She has a keen interest in entrepreneurship, especially in the creation of new medical technologies. She has worked on the development of femtosecond assisted cataract surgery, the treatment of retinal vascular diseases, and the use of mobile technology to improve physician communication and patient care. She is an active member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, American Academy of Ophthalmology, Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, American Medical Association, as well as regional medical groups.
Dr. He is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and speaks rudimentary Spanish. Outside of medicine, she enjoys exploring new countries, cooking and discovering new delicious foods.

Dr. Lingman He is a Godsend! She’s a true angel on earth. She helped my mom regain her eyesight after cataract surgery left her blind, which was done by a different physician. She went above and beyond for my mom, working both Saturday and Sunday on a holiday weekend, and we are eternally grateful to her. A consummate professional with a heart.

This is not about Dr. He. This is a pattern that I have noticed after a few appointments with my regular doctor. The wait time is a problem for me. I was seen initially in less than 20 minutes. But then the real waiting began. I was being helped about 35 minutes which included time for eye dilation, but my total time spent on this appointment was about 80 minutes.
