Dr. Severe provides couples therapy, individual therapy, and group therapy to adults of all ages, from young adults through older adults. She conducts psychotherapy from a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) orientation and offers couples therapy utilizing the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). She works with diverse couples to enhance their connection and communication and also provides pre-marital, divorce, marriage, and relationship counseling services. She specializes in the treatment of depression, anxiety, trauma, and communication skills.
Dr. Severe earned her PsyD in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology - Northern Virginia and holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland.
Dr. Severe is out of network with insurance. This means you will be asked to pay for the cost of your session prior to service. You will be provided with the necessary invoice should you choose to submit claims to your insurance for out-of-network benefits.
