Getting to know Eudora Armstrong
I have a problem… I cannot stop smiling, seriously it's just how I'm wired! In fact, taking my driver’s license picture is always a battle because the DMV gets so frustrated that I can't keep a straight face and hide my teeth. I firmly believe that laughter is medicine. I might not have the absolute best jokes, but I'm always going to try, because seeing a smile on your face is what makes me happy.
When I'm unwinding, you can usually find me listening to the Murder in America podcast or watching The First 48 and Dateline - Keith Morrison’s voice is unmatched
I love basketball, especially the Miami Heat, even if my favorite players keep switching teams. I also root for the Chicago Bears though, full disclosure, I don’t fully understand football. I just think the blue and orange color combo is top-tier.
Growing up right outside of Chicago, I started "STAC" (Save the Animals Club), rescuing hurt birds and neighborhood critters. I was the kid constantly asking, "Can we keep it?" Now that I'm an adult and nobody can tell me "no," I share my home with seven cats, two dogs, and three chickens. Don't be surprised if a cat makes a guest appearance on our video call!
I’m a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, but I’m also a real, slightly quirky human being. I genuinely love what I do. I believe that being a little "weird" is a superpower. My goal is to create a space where you can let your guard down and be 100% yourself, quirks and all. No judgment. No code-switching. Just real, compassionate care.
What should a new client know about working with you?
We’ll work together as a team. My philosophy is all about balance. I love the science behind mental health and use clinical knowledge to find the right path for you. Not overmedicated and not still struggling day to day. The right treatment – for you. We will use medication and supportive therapy as tools to help you feel stable, grounded, and back in the driver's seat of your life.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Sessions are focused on both your immediate needs and long-term health. I offer 30 minute follow-up appointments so I can really get to know you and treat you as a whole person, not just a list of symptoms to manage.
