Great staff and doctor but the wait is excessive.
Dr.Lui is absolutely the best in his class, hands down. I have been with him for at least seven pain free years.
I was new patient referral with all of my paperwork completed. My appointment was 3:30 pm. I arrived 10 minutes and sat for 2 hours and 36 minutes. This is unacceptable. I don't care what type of care one is receiving.
His staff is amazing. He sucks! I have my records sent over which he asked for then he says it's not enough. Complains about his lisence and says he doesn't know me. What's the point of Istop if you don't use it correctly?? You can see I'm in pain, been to the ER in pain and you won't help me till my insurance company spends more money on more tests. I told him to stuff it my life isn't a game for him to play with took my files back and left.
This is a tough review to write, because I thought both Dr. Liu and his PA Tara were terrific. But his office staff is terrible. The wait time is ridiculous and they totally drop the ball on any follow up required. Before I went for my second appointment I called to see if they had received my MRI from that week and they said they had but could only give the results to the doctor. When I got there, there was no record of the MRI and they had blatantly lied about having it--Dr. Liu had to call the radiology clinic and get it faxed over. Then I was scheduled for a second one and was assured I would be called with an authorization number within two days. It's been two weeks and no call, no authorization code. So guess what? I'm getting another doctor.
Professional and I hope, thorough
His office was very backed up each of the three times I visited. Once I was finally called for my exam, Dr. Liu was extremely quick to diagnose the issue and sent me to have outside xray and mri scans done. During the follow up exam, he explained that I had broken my fifth metacarpal but failed to mention that I had also broken one of my knuckles, which I was only told of after my third exam. Regardless, I felt that Dr. Liu still knew what he was doing as the breaks were only minor and not of consequential significance. My only major qualms were with the extremely long and unnecessary waiting times.
This appointment was a waste of time. I should have been informed beforehand that there was nothing else this doctor could do for me, besides a referral to an orthopedic surgeon. Frankly, the referral should have come at my last visit, or even by phone. It wouldn't be a big deal, except that my appointment was at 10:00, and I was not seen until around 11:20. Thinking the appointment was necessary, I waited around and have now had to reschedule 3-4 other meetings today to make up for the dominos that have fallen in my schedule. Overall, not the happiest patient right now.
Dr. Liu was friendly and informative, answered my questions and did a few clinical tests, then decided I should go for an MRI. I can't really evaluate his effectiveness yet -- we'll see after we meet to look at the MRI.
Knowledgeable, but seemed too rushed during the appointment.
Excellent one on one time with doctor and his assistants. Great explanation of next steps and reception went above and beyond to schedule next appointment with referral appointment. The practice desperately needs to work on wait times however. I arrived with all forms filled out, ready to go and waited close to 50 minutes before my name was called. After initial consultation with assistant, the doctor arrived 30 minutes later to speak with me.
Doctor left me waiting for 1.75 hours and then spent less than five minutes with me. Didn't perform any kind of examination, just asked a couple of questions. Clearly overbooks and then rushes through patients. Do not recommend.
Waiting time was ridiculous.
Dr. Lui was very friendly and listened to my issues with my back. What he recommended is exactly what I wanted to investigate my back isssues to determine the right treatment. Dr. Lui seems very well versed in spine issues. So glad I was referred to him and his staff was very courteous.
The wait is sometimes a bit long but the doctor is very through & explains everything & answers all of my questions. He has helped relieve pain in my lower back!
Dr. Liu was terrific and his staff is amazing. I wish all of my doctors had a team like this one.
Not enough time with each patient - I waited for 40 minutes and was in with the doctor for maybe three minutes. Dr. Liu was helpful and his staff is wonderful, but it seems like they have too many appointments to handle.
Office schedules too many patients in a short time span. I've been there twice and have had to wait roughly an hour or more each time to actually see the doctor. I expect most people's time is valuable enough not to be wasted sitting in a cramped waiting room, especially when I only needed the results from a simple MRI. What is the point of scheduling an appointment?! Might as well just be a walk-in clinic if I have to spend more than an hour waiting.
One of the few doctors who take time to explain the issues to you in great details with good patience. Thank you!
Long wait time. Was seen by Dr. Liu, but then prescription was written by his colleague? Not sure if it's an MD. They really should just be straight with the patient if the doctor does not have time to see him/her. I don't always have paid time off to see a doctor, so it's very inconsiderate to not be notified of a delay or not enough time with the doctor.
Dr. Liu was great, very nice and helpful.
Very pleasant, caring attitude, I would recommend him highly
