About Dr. Ewaul Persaud
Dr. Ewaul Persaud is a double board-certified Family Physician for almost 25 years. He graduated Cum Laude from Xavier University in Louisiana, and then earned his medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Family Medicine at Georgia Baptist Medical Center in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Persaud first joined a family practice group before deciding to open his own solo practice in 2006. During his time treating patients, he became passionate about making a positive impact on the declining health of America.
Dr. Persaud has since transitioned into practicing Lifestyle Medicine in conjunction with Family Medicine where he focuses on treating the root cause of disease and not just the symptoms. His clinical interest is in chronic disease prevention and treatment using a comprehensive lifestyle approach as the primary modality. Dr. Persaud received his board certification from the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine in 2020. In addition to practicing medicine, he also teaches medical students and serves as an Associate Clinical Professor for Ross University School of Medicine. Dr. Persaud considers himself a plant-based nutritarian who enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, exercising, and doing yoga. He is an avid believer in practicing what he preaches.

I scheduled a appointment for 11:15 today also uploaded all my insurance info and was told I was uo to date on my info. So then 11:15 comes and im waiting 30 mins later I had to call the office to be told they were waiting for my insurance to be uploaded. No call was made to me about my insurance not be uploaded or any notice was given. However then I gwt a link sent to me and I waited 10 more mins for no one to show up. And my appointment was canceled by the Doctor. NO APPOINTMENT HAD HAPPEN TODAY.....

He didn’t allow a lot of time for me to speak, but spoke a lot to me about my hypertension. It felt a bit patronizing, and I wasn’t given the space to communicate about why I was doing a virtual appointment to begin with. I didn’t feel heard and wish I could have spoken more.

Dr. Persaud was so good that I’m going for an in-office appointment next week: two hour drive for me but definitely worth it! Very knowledgeable and approachable, caring and offered sound advice and a plan forward for care. I’ve had many doctors and worked with even more in my career; I’m very impressed with the way the good doctor carried himself!
