Dr. Fernando Alessandri is a Psychologist in California who has been practicing since 2017. His doctorate is from the University of Mississippi. Dr. Alessandri came to psychology after two decades of faith-based volunteer work with kids and adults. He wanted to understand the integration of mind, body, and spirit and everything that can go wrong -- and how to address it -- as we navigate our lives. Before OleMiss he earned an MS degree in psychology at the Institute for Psychological Sciences (now Divine Mercy U in Virginia). Dr. Alessandri also has an MFA in film/TV production from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame.
Dr. Alessandri likes to share what he knows. He likes to figure out shortcuts. He prefers to go deep and clean out wounds than be superficial or self-defeating. Dr. Alessandri brings a lot of life experience and is not a stranger to deep inexpressible suffering. Freedom and focus often require organizing your past and present, to clear the way for a more desirable future. Dr. Alessandri helps kick the tires and remove deadweight and distraction so you can be at your best. He strives to become unnecessary.
Outside of work, Dr. Alessandri is a parent, is learning guitar, and enjoys very modest biking and hiking. He dabbles with standup and other forms of comedy and creative writing.
