Hi, I am Dr. Fortunate Munhutu, a Doctorate Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with more than 18 years of experience helping clients across different age groups.
I specializing Psychiatry services, ADHD Testing/Medication Management and Certified Spravato (Nasal Ketamine) Treatment for Severe Depression. Feeling overwhelmed, easily distracted, struggling to complete tasks, planning/organization? Are you struggling with mental health symptoms that have now caused severe depression or resistant depression to treat and is interfering with your life? Do you lack motivation, forgetful, trouble sleeping due to past trauma, have anxiety or panic attacks that interfere with your life? You're not alone and I'm here to help.
We are aREMS-Certified to administer Nasal Ketamine or Spravato for Severe Depression and for other mental health symptoms. We also offer Medication Management and Supportive therapy for Depression, Anxiety, Trauma,Social Anxiety, Panic Episodes, sleeping problems,Mood,Disorders, Women's Issues (Pre/Postpartum Depression), Weight loss management and more!
I am open-minded, holistic, and solution-oriented. My hope is that patients leave their appointments feeling like their concerns have been heard and fully addressed. We will work together throughout your treatment plan and Medication Management, as appropriate while incorporating Supportive Talk Therapy and Medication Education via Telehealth/Video.

What should a new client know about working with you?
My philosophy of practice incorporates supportive therapeutic talk therapy in all of my sessions. I believe that addressing your needs and traumatic life experiences, alongside psychopharmacological treatment (medication management), will help you achieve your greatest potential and outcome.
My goal is that my clients leave their appointments with a sense that their concerns have been heard and are fully addressed. Most importantly, I want to provide a safe and inclusive space where you can be comfortable being your wonderful, authentic self and share your worries without the fear of being judged.
I believe in collaboration and patient education to eliminate the stigma and anxiety surrounding mental health conditions and treatment options. If you are hesitant about taking medications or have had issues taking medications in the past, I will gladly help you overcome that fear and discuss any worries you may have using evidence-based practice.

What is your typical process for working with clients?
All of our sessions are done via a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. I value building long-lasting relationships and building rapport, which is why I make consistent, frequent visits (every week for the first 4 weeks, biweekly in the first 2 months, and monthly thereafter) with my clients.

Note: Most Commercial Insurance covers for the ADHD testing. If it's not covered, the out-of-pocket/self pay cost is $400. Please contact our office for us to verify your insurance. ADHD Diagnostic Evaluation and Medication Management are covered by insurance. You will only pay your copayment.
