About Dr. Frank Colarusso
Frank Colarusso, DO, is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Mercer-Bucks Orthopaedics in Hamilton, Lawrenceville, and Princeton, New Jersey, and Langhorne, Pennsylvania. Dr. Colarusso maintains double-board certification, having recently recertified with both the American Medical Association, the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and the American Osteopathic Association. With an attention to detail and passion for continuing education, Dr. Colarusso is proud to provide comprehensive non-operative musculoskeletal, spine, and sports medicine. He specializes in MSK neck and back pain, EMG services, acute and chronic pain syndromes with medication management, dry needling, Osteopathic Manual Manipulation treatments as well as ultrasound-guided injections, nerve blocks, and biologics. After receiving honors at Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pennsylvania, Dr. Colarusso remained in Pennsylvania to intern at St. Barnabas Health Care System. He later was the chief resident in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Boston University Medical Center in Massachusetts. Previously serving as one of three attending physicians at the 15th largest rehabilitation hospitals in the United States, Dr. Colarusso is proud to serve new and returning patients from the Mercer-Bucks Orthopaedics offices.

The office itself was fine but their computer system never moved the paperwork I completed days prior to my visit over to the office computer. All paperwork had to be redone in the office. I waited about 45 minutes to see the doctor. The doctor spent about 10 minutes with me. My conversation with the doctor was very limited. We had no cconversation about my complaint/issue, just him giving me my options for treatment. I was given an injection but have no idea the type of medication. Was also told of the possibility of having gel injections but again was not given any information regarding the purpose of these injections, possible side effects, etc.

I saw a doctor Frank Colarusso twice. The first time I saw him I had it up an appointment to have my herniated disc treated and observed. 15 minutes before I was to leave,. I fell down a few stairs on my buttocks and pain shot up my spine. I called the office and said should I come or should I go to the hospital and they said they could take care of it they have x-ray machines so I went to their office. I was immediately taken in and they did an x-ray I was done putting in a room. I was frightened and I was in severe pain from my butt to my head, the doctor came in. He didn’t make eye contact. He didn’t say hello. He asked me where it hurt. I said in my back I fell and tried to tell him about my problems,, but he just told me to get up on the table lay on my stomach. I told him I had a fusion in my neck from C2 to T1 he said just get on the table on your stomach, he then put his hands together and punched. I saw stars. Pulled on my legs and left the room. hard to ask to speak to him.

I had 2 appointments 3 weeks apart.I was in extreme pain, even more than when I made the first appt.. I had fallen on my back 15 minutes before I was to leave for appointment. Dr. Colarusso was rude from the start. He made no eye contact. He did not introduce himself. He’s asked me where it hurt. I told my back and my lumbar he said get on the table. He pressed hard in the middle of my back pulled on my legs did not explain what he was doing and left. I have a while. A nurse came in. I asked if he was coming back and did anyone want my medication list and she said no one reviewed the medication? I said no. The doctor came back and asked me if I was going to have him as his doctor and I said yes so he gave me a script for PT for urinalysis and he took me off my arthritic medicine that has been working for years. he gave me Celebrex with no refills so of course I had to go back in a few weeks. The 2nd appt. was worse I bought my son. He ignored us , both. out of room .NIGHTMARE!

Dr. Colarusso was friendly, not too chatty. Asked a few questions, diagnosed my problem quickly. Explained it in plain English. Adjusted my back and neck. Shoulder injection. No longer have pain in my back, neck or shoulder. Had a chronic itch in my back for over 5 years. Countless doctors had no idea. No back itch since I left this office. Dr. Colarusso was recommended to me by a friend and I am passing that recommendation on.
