While in high school and college, Dr. Frank was heavily involved in sports. He saw friends or teammates get injured whose only choices were to wait it out, take drugs or have surgery. “I thought there had to be other options. Being a physician was my ultimate goal, and chiropractic was a drugless, nonsurgical way to get to the root of the problem and fix it.” When Dr. Frank was injured playing hockey, he thought it was the perfect time to try out the profession he was considering going into. He was able to find out what was wrong and get the results he’d hoped for, returning quickly to the game. To become a Doctor of Chiropractic, Dr. Frank attended National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Illinois. There, he learned about the art and science of chiropractic care and how to deliver an effective adjustment with a gentle touch. “We were taught to keep the patient’s comfort level in mind at all times. That sticks with me to this day.” In nearly 30 years of practice, Dr. Frank has worked with a range of people, from those with everyday types of pain to professional athletes looking to return from injury or perform at their best. Thanks to his chiropractic education, he trained rigorously in diagnostics, techniques and more. He works with many members of the medical community in our area to inform them about the benefits of chiropractic for their patients or to co-manage cases. Dr. Frank’s father is a retired chiropractor. They even practiced together for some years when Dr. Frank first started out. He is part of a large family and has five adult children. His hobbies include being in the great outdoors boating, fishing, kayaking or exercising.
