About Dr. Fred DeLucia
*A credit card is required to book an appointment* ______________________________________________________ Dr. De Lucia is a reconstructive foot and ankle podiatric physician and surgeon who earned his bachelor’s degree from New York University in Psychology and Pre-Med, and his medical degree in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in Manhattan. He completed Podiatric Surgical Residency training at numerous hospitals, such as: North Shore University Hospitals (Forest Hills, Manhasset, and Southside Hospital), Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, South Nassau Communities Hospital, Flushing Hospital, and the New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens. His training consists of four years of advanced specialization in the medical and surgical care of conditions affecting the lower leg, ankle, and foot, with a residency foundation in based upon general medicine. His particular interests include several areas of foot and ankle surgery including adult and pediatric reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, trauma surgery, revision surgery, tendon and ligament surgery, sports medicine and surgery as well as arthroscopic surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine. Dr. De Lucia is a prior New York State division president for the American Podiatric Medical Association's “Young Physician” section, and Past-President of the Queens Podiatric Medical Society. He also proudly serves as an NYPD Honorary Police Surgeon.

At the appointment they took a sample of my nail, sent it to a lab, and had me make a follow up appointment. Ordinarily a doctor only has you come back in for lab results if there’s something wrong, something they can treat. But here, they won’t reveal whether anything was wrong until you come back for a second appointment. That’s a straight up unethical way to get business.

Horrible experience. Dr did not do routine podiatrist care . Said he’s a surgeon - he doesn’t do that! Arrogant, pompous man. i’m a Type 1 diabetic and have gone once a month for services for the past 30 years. was looking for new dr in new area I moved to. He said no - don’t go to him. Gave me the name of another dr - wouldn’t even do the work since I was there!

Excellent and friendly Doctor! I had X-rays done of my feet and ankles in the office and he discussed them with me immediately afterwards. He also made impressions of my feet for insoles. Staff was friendly as well!

Seems like a good doctor. Nothing particularly good or bad to say. Would see again. I was impressed they were able to get my info directly from ZocDoc without me having to fill out any forms in the office. Not all offices on ZocDoc can do that.
