About Dr. Gary Jay Barsky

Dr. Barsky's surgical skills are celebrated not only locally in Elmhurst and throughout Illinois but also internationally, reaching as far as Japan. A delegation from Japan traveled to Elmhurst to record and film Dr. Barsky’s expertise in cosmetic surgery, specifically laser resurfacing.
Using this advanced procedure, Dr. Barsky effectively removes scars, fine lines, wrinkles, spider veins, and stretch marks, achieving complete rejuvenation of the face and body.
Just hot off the press: Due to popular demand, Dr. Barsky’s long-awaited series on Cosmetic Laser Surgery will be airing this coming year. In this production, he will detail his innovative techniques and showcase the most advanced methods available in modern medicine within Cosmetic and Laser Surgery. The examples will be drawn from his meticulous files, studies, and extensive procedural experience accumulated over the past 16 years.

Dr. Barsky was selected as the premier examiner for the American Academy of Laser Surgery. He has taught laser eyelid surgery and laser resurfacing to over 100 surgeons nationwide via satellite and provided hands-on workshops for the American Academy of Laser Surgery. His outpatient surgical facility has been used for the major annual meeting of the American Academy of Laser Surgery.
He is also a member of the American Society of MOHS Surgery and is affiliated with the Laser Foundation and the International Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgeons in Los Angeles. Dr. Barsky lectures on the comparative history of dermabrasion, chemical peels, and laser resurfacing, as well as the psychology of both patients and physicians regarding laser resurfacing.
Dr. Barsky earned his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois, Chicago, and completed his residency in Dermatology at the same institution.
