Dr. Gene Zitser saved my life! Doctor Gene and his entire staff was extremely helpful in diagnosing my sickness and continuing treating it. My illness was not the easiest to diagnose. I have visited two other neurologist prior to going to Dr.Zitser office and both had failed to find the problem. My very first visit at Dr. Gene office he found the problem. He did this by a series of test and asking a host of questions and he put them together and found the problem. At the I was scared but I knew I was in good hands because of his expertise and knowledge of this rare illness. I am very lucky and thankful to Dr. Zitser and his amazing team for providing world class service and treatment. I would highly recommend Dr Zitser to anyone who is in need of a good Doctor. I have visited many doctors and some are there to help and some are there for the money but Dr. Zitser demonstrated professionalism during my visits and took his time with me and shown compassion and find all ways to help. Doctors like Zitser makes this world a better place. Thank you for saving my life.

My waiting time was 2.5 hours. Then dr finally invited me into his office and the disappeared for another 20 minutes. When he appeared there was no apology. He spent with me 5-10 minutes, prescribed some meds and that's all. No tests I had expected from neurologist been provided. I constant headaches and shaking hands. I has become difficult to work / I'm still a family provider/. So cannot tell weather dr Zitser good or bad. The stuff is ok though

I was very pleased to be able to get an appointment right away (same day!), and Dr. Zitser was very knowledgeable and communicative, even answering my email on the weekend. It helped me when I was dealing with some excruciating back pain. Thanks Dr. Z!

Dr. Zitser is amazing, my only issue was the wait. My appointment was for 9 am and I didn’t see Dr. Zitser until 12 pm. He is worth it, he’s got such an amazing bedside manner but prepared to wait and then wait some more.
The Doctor was extremely informative and took his time explaining everything I needed to know. The wait was a bit long, but that explains it...he doesn't treat people like cattle like some other doctors we all had to deal with. In addition, I needed a separate test other than the MRI he ordered, and normally he said he would do that on the second visit, but because I drove from Suffolk County to see him in Queens, he said he will save me the trip and a separate co-pay and will stay a bit longer (even though I was last appointment) to get it done. I was delighted with that care. Well worth the visit if this is the specialty Doctor you need.

Doctor Zitser is a BRILLIANT physician!! AND....on top of that, a very, VERY nice fellow, with a terrific sense of humor. The 4 or 5 nurses/assistants were absolutely wonderful.
Verified patient
My visit with Dr. Zitser went very well. I found him easy to talk to, attentive and patient. I spent time talking to him and he listened. He didn't do like other doctors which seemed more interested in the amount of patients seen to the service. He even had a sense of humor. I will definitely visit in future. Office staff were polite, professional and courteous. They apologized for the wait and explained why after I brought it to their attention. Nursing assistant needs to remove the chewing gum when she is dealing with patients.

Verified patient
Very nice He was informative, precise and even. Whole I was describing my symptoms he already knew, have me testing and confirmed. Told me my options and told me what I needed too know. Perfect appointment
Verified patient
Just a awful experience , they couldn't even find my paper work the day after I left. It like I didn't exist. Plus they wanted me to wait almost 2 weeks for a test I could of done the same day else where
I have used Zocdoc for about a year now && this has to be by far the worst ! my appointment time was changed from 10 to 2 then I had to wait a hour and a half to see the doctor for 5 minutes who talked to me like I didn't know what I was talking about ! Even told me to stop talking and listen ! On top of that the doctor walked in didn't speak or even acknowledge anyone in the room ! I wouldn't recommend this place to ANYONE ! Very VERY Unprofessional !!!! I wish I can call my insurance and tell them don't pay him because he did absolutely NOTHING! The woman who did the vitals was very very nice and respectful
Office is spotless, staff is efficient, cordial and professional.....Dr Gene Zitser was very thorough and quite knowledgeable...
Verified patient
Dr. Gene was very aloof and impersonal. His approach to listening to my symptoms / how I've been feeling lately was very "distant" and cynical. I didn't appreciate this visit and I will not be going back.
Very professional and personable.
Verified patient
I think Dr. Zitser really knows his stuff. He explained things that other doctors had failed to diagnose for years. The problem is that the office is very disorganized. I had to give the same info to 3 different people who each entered it into their computer. Following up has been similar. If I ask to speak to the doctor, I'm given the 3rd degree -- being asked why I'm calling. Even if I'm returning his call, that doesn't seem to be sufficient. Been trying to reach him for 3 weeks now. Have left messages... So, as good of a doctor as he may be, I can't really benefit from it if I can't follow up with him.
