Thank you. *** Genevieve Lama, MD, is a board-certified endocrinologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley, specializing in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism. She treats a wide range of hormone-related conditions, including osteoporosis, thyroid disease, obesity, adrenal disorders, and polycystic ovarian syndrome. Dr. Lama creates individualized treatment plans and assists patients in making lifestyle changes such as maintaining a healthy diet and exercising regularly. She has been practicing for more than 22 years, providing compassionate and comprehensive care to her patients. Dr. Lama earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from State University of New York, Upstate Medical University, in Syracuse, New York. She completed her internship and residency at Winthrop-University Hospital and went on to complete a fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at New York Medical College, Westchester Medical Center, and Sound Shore Medical Center. Dr. Lama is a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine in endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism and a member of the American Medical Association, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, and the American Diabetes Association. She contributed research to the Bypass Angioplasty Revascularization Investigation 2 Diabetes (BARI 2D) study. Before joining NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley, Dr. Lama worked at Northern Medical Specialists in Carmel, New York.

So glad I found Dr. Lama! She was everything her great reviews said. Jaimie at the front desk was so welcoming & friendly. I sat down to wait for my appointment & was called in within 2 minutes! Dr. Lama asked a lot of questions, listened to my answers & then put all of the details into the computer & even read it back to me to make sure she got all of the details right. She explained what the next steps would be in my treatment & when she would be contacting me next. Would highly recommend! My only negative was when they sent me the appointment reminder it has the Yorktown office listed & I was going to the Cold Spring office. Not a huge deal. Office was very easy to get to & has big parking lot.
