About Dr. George Pianka
Dr. George Pianka joins WPHPA with 33 years of experience in private practice in the specialty of Hand Surgery.
Board-certified in Orthopedic Surgery and with a certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand, Dr. Pianka has expertise in Orthopedic and Hand Surgery, teaching Orthopedic residents and colleagues throughout his career; managing difficult soft tissue and bone conditions including specialized minimally invasive techniques. Treating professional athletes, musicians and weekend warriors, allows him to provide state of the art treatment expediting their recovery.
After his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital, Dr. Pianka completed a fellowship in Orthopedic Hand Surgery at The Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopedic Institute.
Before joining WPHPA, Dr. Pianka held the following positions:

Dr. Pianka is kind, patient, comforting and very knowledgable. He immediately understood. my concerns and I felt reassured that I was in great hands. He gave me practical and simple solutions to my issues. I would recommend him in a heartbeat. The only negative was it was a bit hard to find the office. Once I found it, everything was great, including the front desk and the nurse interaction.

Dr. Pianka is an exceptional hand specialist. His kind and warm demeanor immediately puts you at ease, and he takes the time to listen carefully to your concerns. Throughout my procedure, he was thoroughly professional, explaining each step with clarity and ensuring I felt comfortable. As an artist, my hands are everything to me, and even though I live in Manhattan, I make the trip Yonkers just to see him. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my care. Highly recommended!
