About Ghazel Waiz
Ghazel is a California native who earned her Bachelor's degree in Public Health with a minor in Global Poverty and Practice from the University of California, Berkeley, and her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from Samuel Merritt University. She specializes in dermatology, with experience and knowledge in both clinical and cosmetic dermatology. Ghazel is passionate about providing the highest standard of care while ensuring natural-looking results. Committed to improving access to healthcare in underserved populations, she has provided medical care on several mission trips to Kenya and numerous refugee camps throughout Greece. Ghazel has received several academic accolades and is published in the Journal of Trauma Surgery and Acute Care.
When not working, Ghazel loves to travel, try new Bay Area restaurants, spend time with her family, and experiment with new recipes.

I had an overall great experience. Ghazel was very receptive to my concerns and offered great advice. She even provided samples of singer of the products she recommended. I was pleased by her personable approach and overall desire to help. She seems very knowledgeable and quickly helped me find a solution.

Very professional, answered my many questions, made me feel comfortable (I didn’t need to change into a gown unless I wanted to, which saved me time) and wait time was fast (although I was the last patient of the day and probably only 1 other patient was around)

Zocdoc was totally out of touch with the provider. Example: I provided Zocdoc with photos of my insurance card; none of that went to the provider.
Example: I signed up on Zocdoc for 1100 appt, which was approved. But provider called me several days later and said Zocdoc had "triple booked" that time and I had to take another appointment time.
Example: Zocdoc says that I needed to take a list of my current meds; the provider never asked for that.

PA Ghazel Waiz was knowledgeable, thorough, and empathetic.
The only issue was that the Zocdoc appointment seemed to overlap the office's normal lunch break, but she saw me anyway, much appreciated.
