Dr. Gil Lichtshein is a caring psychiatrist specializing in adult, child and adolescent psychiatry, serving the community of Boca Raton and Miami, FL. Dr. Lichtshein attended the University of Illinois in Chicago, where he earned his medical degree. He then completed his residency in psychiatry and fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Maryland. Dr. Lichtshein is certified in psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Lichtshein worked at Bronx Lebanon Hospital, in Bronx, New York as well as, Four Winds Hospital and had a private practice in Katonah, New York. While practicing in New York, Dr. Gil held an academic appointment of Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. He relocated to Boca Raton, Florida and joined The Boca Raton Psychiatric Group from 2003 through 2008. He specializes in a variety of disorders including mood disorders, autism, anxiety disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder and attention deficit disorders. Dr. Lichtshein has extensive experience in psycho-pharmacology and also is an expert in the use of Transcranial Magentic Stimulation a novel non pharmacologic treatment for depression and anxiety.
Dr. Lichtshein welcomes patients who speak English and Hebrew. His awareness of these different languages makes him accessible to patients from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Dr. Lichtshein is deeply committed to the wellbeing of his patients. He takes a thorough and precise approach to his consultations to ensure that he is consistently giving accurate diagnoses. His practice does not take any insurance and is not a provider for any insurance plans.
