Dr. Mendizabal-Piedra was born in La Habana, Cuba. Her family wanting the best for her sent her to the United States at the young age of 15. While in Miami, FL, she graduated from Miami Springs Senior High. She then set out for Spain to attend Medical school, in an attempt to follow in her father's footsteps. Accompanying her on her journey would be her new husband, Osvaldo Piedra, an aspiring physician himself. Dr. Mendizabal-Piedra obtained her Doctorate in Medicine and Surgery from La Universidad De Oviedo in 1984. She completed her internship at Metropolitan Hospital in New York in 1986. Dr. Mendizabal-Piedra also completed her residency and served as a Chief Resident in Internal Medicine at Metropolitan Hospital in 1989 and 1990, respectively. She opened her GMP Medical practice in 1990 and has been located in the same location since as a Hialeah based doctor.

Terrible! Wait time was an hour and 45. They didn't have all the materials to conduct test. Do not go there.
