About Dr. Greg Nero
I grew up in the Hudson Valley of upstate New York in a small town called Red Hook. My father worked as a business teacher at my high school, and my mother held multiple jobs running a daycare. I have two older brothers. I was a basketball player and played at Fairfield University on a full scholarship, receiving all MAAC honors. I had aspirations of playing professionally, but after a back injury and prolonged illness, I decided to pursue a medical profession instead.
I earned my bachelor's degree from Fairfield University and went on to receive my Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. The sports medicine aspect initially sparked my interest in podiatry, but over time, I developed a deep regard for all the specialties it offers. I completed my residency training in podiatric wound care at HealthAlliance Hudson Valley in Kingston, New York, where I gained hands-on experience with wound care, elective surgery, and trauma. I have attended and presented posters at ACFAS surgical skills clinical conferences and completed a mini fellowship in podiatric dermatopathology at Bako Diagnostics.
I believe I am an energetic practitioner dedicated to offering patients comprehensive treatment plans. I approach patients conservatively while offering more advanced treatment modalities when indicated. I am also a member of the APMA and NJPMS.

Dr. Nero is great. Dr. Nero listens to you and he's a great communicator who takes great care of calluses, blisters, and nail issues. He's patient, doesn't rush you out, and answers all your questions and if he doesn't have an answer on the spot will ask his staff to look into it.

Dr. Nero was awesome! My wife had seen him a few weeks ago and talked highly of him. The wait time was longer than I expected but once the doctor came in, he spent time and made me feel welcome. I understood why wait times could be a little longer bc he spends a good time with his patients. I appreciate his approach.

I would highly recommend Dr. Nero. He was very knowledgeable, willing to spend time with me and answered all my questions. The office was clean and the support staff were very friendly and competent. Dr. Nero is very personable, he is a good listener and made me feel very comfortable. The parking was convenient and my Rx was ready at my pharmacy within an hour of leaving. I waited about 1 hour since I showed up 15 minutes early to take care of the paperwork hoping to see Dr. Nero as close to my appointment time as possible since I was on my lunch hour. Overall, excellent experience.
