Getting to know Hannah Jones

I’m a board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner providing compassionate, evidence-based care through my telehealth practice. With a background in critical care and experience across partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient psychiatry, I treat anyone with depression, anxiety, stress, ADHD, PTSD, burnout, bipolar and mood disorders, and co-occurring substance use challenges with a focus in supporting first responders. My work has shown me how deeply mental health affects every part of a person’s life, and I believe effective treatment begins with truly listening. My approach is warm, structured, and collaborative. I take time to understand the whole person—not just symptoms—by exploring sleep, nutrition, routines, stress, relationships, work environment, and past experiences. These factors play a vital role in emotional wellbeing and guide the development of an individualized, thoughtful treatment plan. I provide evidence-based medication management paired with practical, lifestyle-informed strategies so clients receive care that is both clinically sound and realistically sustainable. I create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered. I explain treatment options clearly, encourage questions, and involve clients in every decision. Whether someone is beginning their mental health journey, navigating burnout, or working to regain stability after long-standing symptoms, my goal is to help them feel understood and confident in their path forward. Above all, I prioritize connection, consistency, and respect. You deserve a provider who shows up, listens carefully, and partners with you every step of the way. My mission is to help you build clarity, emotional resilience, and long-term wellbeing through compassionate and comprehensive psychiatric care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When you work with me, you can expect a calm, collaborative, and structured approach to care. I take time to understand your full story—your symptoms, history, lifestyle, habits, strengths, and stressors—so we can create a treatment plan that truly fits your needs. My therapeutic approach combines evidence-based medication management with supportive, skills-focused strategies that help you better understand your symptoms and build healthier patterns. Each session includes therapeutic guidance, education, coping tools, and lifestyle recommendations that support long-term emotional stability. New clients can expect an unrushed first session where we explore your goals and concerns, followed by clear explanations of diagnoses, medication options, risks, benefits, and alternatives. I value open communication, shared decision-making, and creating a nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable asking questions. Because I integrate lifestyle factors such as sleep, nutrition, routines, and stress management into treatment, you’ll receive a holistic, practical plan—not just medication adjustments. All sessions are conducted via telehealth for convenience, privacy, and flexibility. My goal is to help you feel supported, grounded, and genuinely empowered throughout your care.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process is grounded in clarity, connection, and genuine care and attention to my patients and their experiences. During our first session, I take the time to understand your symptoms, history, and day-to-day experiences so I can form an accurate and meaningful diagnostic impression. Many of my patients share that they appreciate how thorough I am and how I never rush through appointments—they feel heard, understood, and supported. Each session includes supportive conversation, problem-solving, and practical guidance to help you understand your symptoms and build healthier patterns. This extended visit provides clear diagnostic clarity, which is fundamental to guiding treatment. Follow-up visits are structured yet comfortable: we check in on your progress, discuss what’s improving or still challenging, and make thoughtful adjustments together. You can expect open communication, clear explanations, and a steady pace that allows you to take an active role in your care. My goal is to create a process that helps you feel informed, respected, and empowered throughout your treatment.
