About Dr. Harvey Rainville
Dr Harvey Rainville is a board certified General and Bariatric surgeon. Originally from Dallas Texas, he completed his undergraduate education at Baylor University.
He later moved to New York City in 2006, where he completed his General Surgery residency at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine at Montefiore Hospital. Dr Rainville went on to specialize in Robotic and Bariatric Surgery at the University of Texas in Houston. He joined the practice in North Jersey immediately upon completion of his training.
Dr Rainville has been a pioneer of Robotic and Bariatric Surgery since he started practice in 2013. As of today Dr Rainville has performed the most Robotic Bariatric surgeries in the entire state of New Jersey and continues to pursue the latest in advanced surgical techniques.
He is the Medical Director of Robotic Surgery at Hackensack UMC Mountainside Hospital and is an instructor and proctor to surgeons across the country for DaVinci Robotic surgery.

My experience was wonderful, the staff was so welcoming and worked well as a team which I love. It makes patients wait time flow smoothly. My doctor, who is Dr. Harvey Rainville was very informative, pleasant and very honest along with his nurse who did my vitals.

Doctor rainville has been my surgeon for a number of years. he has performed 2 surgeries on me so far and is about to perform a 3rd. I had a lap band that eroded; he removed that. then he did the sleeve and now hes about to do the duodenal switch. I would recommend doctor rainville to anyone. He's done hundreds of these surgeries and hes one of the very few surgeons in New Jersey that performs the duodenal switch. I have never have to follow up or return to surgery for any type of corrections. he is very friendly. his staff is very friendly and attentive I would definitely recommend him to anyone who's thinking about doing a bariatric surgery.
