About Heather Birmingham
Heather Birmingham received her Bachelors in Science in Biology from Oakland University. She furthered her studies at Grand Valley State University with a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies, graduating in 2018. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
Heather grew up in Alpena and married Alpena native Zachary Birmingham. They both desired to return to and serve their hometown community. They are looking forward to raising their family in the area.
Heather joined Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery in February of 2019. She is fellowship trained in general and surgical dermatology. She looks forward to her career in dermatology and is happy to be able to provide skin care and education in her hometown.

From the moment I walked in and spoke to Allysa, I was impressed. She smiled, welcomed me and walked me through forms I had to fill out. Then Emily took me to a room, introduced herself, continued to smile, asked me questions and made me feel at ease. Then Heather was more than willing to determine my skin problem. Plus she put me at ease with her smile and obvious knowledge of skin issues. Drew was with her and she was also pleasant and helpful. On my way out, Brenda again with a great smile and helpful to get me a followup appointment. They all hit it out of the park. What doctor's office do you go to today and are impressed with everything!? None, except this one!! Definitely a 10! Thank you.
