After spending several years going from 1 dr to another due to dissatisfaction, i am excited to find this dr. They believe in making lifestyle changes rather than just writing prescriptions like many doctors do. I am also very happy that their appiintments actually start on time.

Chicago native Helen Xenos grew up in Greece but returned home to attend Loyola University and begin her medical career. She has particular interests in women’s health, including office-based procedures such as IUD insertion and colposcopy. Helen strives to be an approachable, careful listener and is always willing to have open conversations about treatment options. She loves traveling and trying new foods, is conversational in Spanish and fluent in Greek. She attended the University of Illinois School of Medicine and is board-certified in Family Medicine.

First of all, the office staff is very friendly and there was essentially no wait, which seems impossible, given that my appointment was near the end of the day. Secondly, Dr. Xenos was very personable and easy to talk with, despite my slight anxiety about doctor's visits in general.
The office allows same day appointments, which is very convenient, but I was initially unaware of the "membership fee" for this doctor group. I do think it's worthwhile, however, given the convenience factor.

Dr. Xenos was on time, polite, straight forward and thorough. She is one of the best listeners that I have ever met. I have avoided going to a PCP for almost 10 years now and I'm glad I came to One Medical Group and Dr. Xenos to guide me through improving my overall health. She asked questions and had insightful and direct answers. She came across as caring and was sure to make certain I had a plan in place for when I left and that I understood my responsibilities in the treatment of my own health. I think her overall style is one that greatly respects the person sitting across from her and she prescribes lifestyle changes and not just medication. I would recommend her to anyone in the Chicago area and especially busy professionals who work downtown.
