It was my first visit with Dr. Baum. He and his technical staff in particular seem very good, but they overbook which results in meaningless appointment times. Their front office staff does not work very well with Zocdoc either. I booked a 12:15 pm appointment on Zocdoc and filled out my check-in forms in advance. The receptionist told me their office couldn't work with the forms from Zocdoc and never gave any estimate about wait time. I would have rescheduled had I known. Or booked elsewhere. I was not seen by the doctor himself until past 2:30 pm. I understand that it's best to see people with orthopedic issues quickly after the traumatic event or injury, but there's no shortage of orthopedists in the City as far as I can tell.

Don’t bother picking early appointment time. Went there for 9am appointment and was greeted by an overcrowded waiting area with a first come first served sign in clipboard. I walked right out before they took my copay and have to forcefully wait hours to see the doctor.

The office is located in a partial basement and did not make me feel very comfortable going here. Dr. Baum did not introduce himself to me or ask me how I injured myself. He also did not even make eye contact with me when he was in the room for 3 minutes. His assistants were much more helpful. I would not recommend coming here. I don’t think I will come back for a follow up.

The Doctor was nice but the office/waiting area atmosphere was uncomfortable and unprofessional. The front desk were speaking loud to each patient so everyone knew everyone's condition & issue. The office doesn't receive the history questionnaire that would be helpful to save time so don't bother doing so on the app. I arrived at 9:45am for my appointment at 10am and got seen at 1pm.

The best orthopedic out there. He really listened to all of my concerns and addressed all of them. He scheduled me for an MRI that day as well as PT. He's very thorough and will do whatever you ask. I was concerned and wanted an MRI and he say absolutely. Great doctor.

I had appointment booked for 8AM and I have seen the dr about 12:30 PM.... office stuff do not fallow up. I was first waiting for them to call me to get the approval for the MRI, after a week I called them ... nobody worked on getting the approval.... I called to get results of MRI just curious what will be next since I tried to avoid waiting for another 4h just to get results.. somebody supposed to call me, nobody did (that was 5 days ago)
I'm in the middle of the process, so really not looking for another dr right now to go throug all the hassle again with the new orthopedist, anyway this dr has good reviews but if you read this, pick another office, this office is very disorganized and unfortunately other reviews above mine are highly accurate

I love Dr. Baum, he's done several procedures for me and I wouldn't trust anyone else for my ortho stuff. He's attentive, caring and explains everything. The only drawback is the long wait in his office, but for me it's well worth it.

Dr. Baum was great! He was great to talk to. However, the wait was pretty bad. I booked the earliest appointment possible, but the office was full of people waiting behind me. His staff also seemed busier than I've seen at other offices, which makes me think that he is short-staffed.
I'm not sure that I would come back given the unpredictable wait times, but if he had another office, I'd be sure to try that instead!

Dr. Baum is wonderful and very knowledgable. His staff is very friendly as well. His office seems to be extremely over worked. I overheard them saying they see 80-100 patients a day, this could explain the long wait times. I didn't have to wait as long as others because I made my appointment through Zoc doc (once again, overheard this). I went to this office because he was the only orthopedist available on short notice and I believe he did a great job.

The first time we went to the doctors office we were made to wait for 2 hours before saw the doctor and the second time we came for a follow up visit we took the first appointment for the day but the doctor didn't show up till 45 mins after the clinic opened. And even then we X ray technician didn't show up so we were made to wait for long. The doctor is really nice and knowledgeable but the wait time is excruciating. Especially if you are taking time off work like me.

WHEN I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO SEE THE DR. AFTER A FOUR HOUR WAIT, HE TOOK HIS TIME EXPLAINING EVERYTHING CAREFULLY BUT, HIS X RAY TECH WAS VERY SCATTERED I WAS PRESCRIBED A BACK BRACE WHICH I DID NOT RECEIVE UNTIL THREE WEEKS AFTER THE VIST WHICH SHE TOLD ME I WOULD RECEIVE IN A WEEK . WHEN I CALLED TO CHECK ON THE STATUS I COULD NOT REACH HER I LEFT TWO MESSAGES AFTER THE THIRD CALL SHE FINALLY RESPONDED.

I made an appointment for 3:15pm. When I booked it, there was a 3:15, a 3:30, a 3:45, a 4, etc open until 5pm.
It is currently 7:15pm, and I am sitting here.
For those who can't count, that is 4 hours. This is entirely unacceptable, and I would never recommend a single person visit this office. This is akin to getting to the airport for your flight, and being told the airline has overbooked your flight and you cannot board.
The office is cramped, there are a dozen patients here, and I repeat, I have been here for 4 hours. I can understand waiting 30 minutes, maybe 45 in a bad scenario if they are overbooked, but this is beyond reproach.
