Dr. Kivell is a Board Certified Urologist practicing at the Albert Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center for over twenty years. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Genetics, from Cornell University, College of Arts and Sciences, and his MD degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He completed his six years of residency training at Albert Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident from 1986-1988.
Dr. Kivell practices general urology but has special interest in the early detection and compassionate treatment of genito-urinary tumors, the non-invasive treatment of benign conditions of the prostate and urinary stone disease. He is a member of the American Urological Association, the American College of Surgeons and the American Medical Association.
He has an academic appointment at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and has admitting privileges and performs surgery at Einstein/Weiler and Westchester Square Hospitals.

Their "policy" is that you not only pay for every visit, you're charged extra for a urine test & then a sonogram EVEN FOLLOW-UP VISITS when you're just there for your test results.

He was rushing because he had other patients to see and was behind. I have another appointment with him so will be3 able to tell if he is always like that.

Dr. Kivell was very pleasant, introduced himself and listened carefully when I explained the reason for my visit. He gave me a prescription which I'll try and some exercises to do, but I wanted more understanding of the physiology behind my SUI and UI issues. I'll follow his suggestions and follow up with him.

The office staff is very friendly, but Dr. Kivell is too fast and do not listen to your needs. First visit, i went after being at the emergency room, and i had a lot of pain and questions, but i was not able to ask most of my concerns because in 5 minutes we were done. Second visit (follow up), it was faster, he only took like 2 minutes with me. I am not saying that he is good or bad, but if you see a doctor is because you don't feel good, and want an idea of what you have. He told me everything was right, but i did not feel his human touch.

I was seen quickly. The doctor is very funny and consultation was not too long cause he looked into my record and had somewhat of a knowledge as to my history. The only thing I would change is that even after I filled out all the paperwork online I was still required to fill out more firms and on top of that had to fill in the same info on a tablet. Other than that I was happy with fast service and a nice nurse.
