About Dr. Hyunsuk Suh
With over two decades of surgical experience, Dr. Suh has performed thousands of surgeries, specializing in the delicate field of endocrine surgery. He is renowned for pioneering the first bilateral axillo-breast approach (BABA) scarless robotic thyroidectomy and lateral neck lymph dissection surgery for metastatic thyroid cancers in the United States. His innovative spirit didn't stop there; Dr. Suh has been instrumental in introducing robotic thyroidectomies nationwide and is a pioneer in using laryngeal ultrasound for vocal cord evaluation, enhancing safety and precision in neck surgery.
Dr. Suh earned his Doctor of Medicine from The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in General Surgery at Boston University, followed by fellowships in Endocrine Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and Seoul National University Hospital.
Before founding American Endocrine, Dr. Suh was the founder and chief surgeon at the Scarless Thyroid Center, where he dedicated his entire practice to minimally invasive surgical techniques. He also served as the Director of Endocrine Surgery at Mount Sinai Hospital in NY, overseeing a department renowned for its cutting-edge treatments and excellence in patient care.
A respected member of several prestigious surgical societies, Dr. Suh's professional affiliations include the American College of Surgeons, American Thyroid Association, and the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons, among others.
