Getting to know Ifeoma Okpaleke
I am a dual board-certified nurse practitioner in psychiatry and family medicine with broad experience in both internal medicine and psychiatry. I am committed to providing quality mental healthcare for patients aged 17 to 79. I earned my Master's in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Pace University, my Bachelor's degree from the University of Phoenix, and my Associate's degree from Hillsborough Community College.
What should a new client know about working with you?
In our first visit we will review your history, what is happening now, and what you want to change. I provide clear education on diagnoses and treatment options, including how long meds may take to work, expected outcomes, and side effects. Patients often tell me they feel truly listened to, not talked over, and that we build a plan together.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Reaching out can feel intimidating, but you do not have to do it alone. I am currently accepting new adult patients, with appointments available within the week. If you want a provider who is warm, knowledgeable, and takes time to explain the why behind each option while partnering with you step by step, I would be glad to work with you.
