My visit has always been great. Dr Rasul has helped me tremendously. Also the other staff is very polite and helpful.
He was very calm and kind. I appreciated his recommendation and will see how it goes. Am hopeful for progress!
This was a virtual appointment chatting via video chat. I enjoyed it was nice to see technology working
Very nice, human, and professional. Prompt, without digging around the bushes. Would recommend.
It was easy to make an appointment. There was hardly any wait. The doctor was knowledgeable.

Dr. Rasul does understand me & he does extremely well. Been a lot better since I seen him.
Very friendly staff. We were not kept waiting and the Dr. was professional and helpful.
fine for medication management, but i can't imagine for more in depth.
Helpful to see a specialist online during the stay-at-home orders.
Very caring friendly set me up with a therapist for the next day
Nice man helped me get in touch with his colleague who I now see.
I feel comfortable and honest his suggestions for long term care
Extremely Professional and attentive. Highly Recommend.
Would not recommend. Staff did a terrible job communicating with me. The medicine I was prescribed was not explained to me. They also stopped serving the dc area and did not tell me until the day of my appointment. Additionally for one of my appointments, I logged on and the doctor never showed up. This was an incredibly trustee process to deal with. There has to be better, more attentive, and professional options out there.
This office is IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of anyone!! They direct all email requests for billing, records, prescriptions, very general questions even! to fill out the forums on their website, in which no one responds to. I have been trying diligently for 4 months to sort out a misshape that was on their end. My main issue: I was told I was in in-network but then I was billed out of network for several video visits. This place is beyond unprofessional and truly doesn't seem to care about its patients mental health.
Initial Appointment is great. Quick Easy and overall very simple. The problem happens on the follow ups. He does not care about your situation at all and only cares about the profits you are bringing him. All of his administration staff is outsourced so getting any kind of timely response from them is also impossible. I highly suggest finding someone else

I don’t know if I’ve had a worst experience with a doctor. The fundamental misunderstanding of how to treat a patient is the biggest complaint. I have completely wasted my money and time and would never recommend seeing this office.

They accommodated my same day appointment request. There was a little bit of a wait but that's expected. It had been over a year since I'd been seen in the office but Dr. Rasul remembered that I'd been in a cast from a car accident when last we spoke. That's amazing given the amount of patients he sees.
very strange and creepy situation
I initially left a positive review following my first appointment. But after seeing this doctor for several months, I DO NOT recommend and believe this entire operation is a joke. It was impossible to speak with a live person over the phone, and when you do reach a receptionist - it’s actually a call center in India. She keeps repeating a script, cannot communicate, and circles you back through their automated system. This happened to me every time I called. If you have medication questions (i.e. getting a script properly filled) following your appointment, you cannot talk to the dr. or a person and are instructed to email the “clinical coordinator.” This individual responds with messages in broken English and never signs his/her name or discloses his/her medical credentials. For all I know, it could be someone without any medical education or training in psychiatry. With that being said, Dr. Rasul is the worst part of this fiasco. He doesn’t seem concerned about the serious harm that abruptly stopping medication can cause. He is also rude, arrogant, has difficulty communicating his recommendations, and lacks compassion that any physician, but especially a psychiatrist, should have. I hope my terrible experience helps anyone reading this review to go elsewhere and AVOID Dr. Rasul and this practice at all costs!
Dr. Rasul himself was great. He was really straightforward and helped me with exactly what I needed (medication review). He was kind and a good listener, but also not trying to waste time. HOWEVER, the experience of making the appointment was confusing and misleading. It turned out to be a Skype-type video call, not an in-person visit, which Zocdoc gave no indication of. So on the day of, my appointment had still not been confirmed and I had to call and speak to a very incompetent receptionist in order to find out it was a video conference call- otherwise I would've just shown up there and been turned away. Zocdoc, please give greater clarity on what the process is when making an appointment with Dr. Rasul!
I just moved here from DC and have been looking for a new dr for medication management. Dr. Rasul listened to my concerns and made recommendations to improve my current regimen. Unlike another provider I saw in the area, he didn’t try to change all of my medications at once and suggested taking things slowly to see what works best for me. I really appreciated that. Even though he does not participate with my insurance, I have decided to continue seeing him. Plus, he offers telemedicine appointments and online scheduling - very helpful for busy professionals.
Not for me it was not so much him as the entire set up... I did not realize I was making an appointment to teleconference and Zocdoc did not do a good job at making this clear. As well as the staff at piedmont behavioral service did not speak clear English and was a able to give me clear information or instructions. I will never ever use either service again. Nice try but failed!
I understand that his role is to manage medications and diagnoses. I was very anxious but he put me at ease. He was pleasant & I would recommend him.
Dr. Rasul was polite and efficient in our first meeting. He asked the right questions and came up with a good possible solution moving forward.

I was very pleased with my experience. Dr. Rasul delivered quality care and devoted a great deal of time discuss all of my concerns. I felt at ease while under his care, and was very impressed with both his bedside manner and knowledge base. I would highly recommend.
He is NOT a warm, caring, compassionate doctor nor is he a good listener. He's quick to make judgements calling me a "confused" person within the first five minutes of our meeting. No, I would tell people to stay away from this so-called doctor who barely speaks intelligible English.
Good guy, caring and willing to listen and provide options. I am a teen/ early adult and I think he is well suited for this age group.
I arrived for my appointment and was completely ignored by his receptionist for a solid 10 minutes. I made eye contact with him and he finally stood up and got out of his office to give me a chart (even though I had already filled out all of this information via zocdoc prior to the appointment) and left me to wait for another 15 minutes. It seemed as if they were purposefully doing this exercise to test me (no one else in the office, last patient walked out as I entered, receptionist stayed hidden behind the partition entire time). I explained to him in detail my patient history and the circumstances that led me to his care. He kept recommending switching my medication to buproprin, even though I am not suffering from depression. After reassuring me that the red tape around prescribing certain controlled substances out of state ( I travel 100% for my job) wouldn't be an issue and that he totally understood my situation, he ended up abandoning me by refusing to call in or drop a script in the mail. It's a sad state of affairs when our mental health professionals aren't able or willing to file a patient's script "for fear of being audited." At least that's the excuse they provided as justification for not doing their job. The whole process is infuriating and j understand that the doctors hands are somewhat tied but your grossly incompetent interpretation of the law is going to end in someone getting seriously hurt. You've seen me less than 4 weeks ago! I offered you my entire patient history! You slipped a drug test into my scripts and told me it was to check for a deficiency! I spoke with you at length about my circumstances and gave you no indication that I was drug seeking or some dirtbag junkie, but that's how I was treated from the moment I walked into that office. Some part of me also thinks that some of these "professionals" end up hating their jobs and their debt and start to get some sort of sadistic satisfaction from withholding meds from their "patients".
Very good, great listener.
Dr Rasul, did a great job of listening intently to me first before putting together a comprehensive treatment plan that not only includes medication but counseling as well. I appreciated his staff including his office manager that is very friendly and professional. Over all I felt like I was in great hands.
Good doctor listens well solution orientated
He was extremely kind, professional and listened to my needs. I have been searching for a qualified Psych for a while and he is the one I will be sticking with. He also made a promo appointment for me to see a counselor that "fit my needs"!. I am so grateful he was there on a Sunday- with my work schedule it's hard to fit doctor appointments in.
Very impressed with Dr. Rasul. Actually came out of his office to meet me for my first visit. Very gracious manner. I chose Dr Rasul primarily because of his fine credentials and experience. My choice was validated by the content and quality of my intake office visit.
Dr. Rasul was knowledgeable with a great bedside manner. Hard qualities to find. I had searched for 2 weeks to locate a psychiatrist and all the waits were extreme. We needed a same day appointment and I was so thankful he could fit us in!
This was my initial visit, but I'll certainly be going back. He was comfortingly professional, very understanding, and not remotely 'robotic' at all (as some other psychiatrists I've been to have been).
