About Dr. Isaac Livshetz
Dr. Livshetz is a fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in Total Joint Arthroplasty. Dr. Livshetz completed his undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering at McGill University and was a medical device engineer prior to obtaining his medical degree at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He went on to an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Illinois in Chicago and completed fellowship training in Adult Reconstruction at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York. Dr. Livshetz specializes in joint replacement of the hip and knee, including complicated initial joint replacements as well as revision surgery. He utilizes the latest techniques including robotic assisted surgery and the muscle sparing direct anterior approach to hip replacement. Dr. Livshetz has published research in multiple publications and has presented his work at national and international academic meetings.

Got a pretty objective, clear explanation of the benefits and the downsides of getting a knee replacement. It was not necessarily the advise I wanted to hear but I got the sense that it was straight, no sugar coating and ultimately useful.

Dr. Livschetz is very knowledgeable about my problem. He gave me the injection I was interested in and a prescription. He offered me the opportunity to follow up with different medications if necessary. He was also very gentle during the examination. I was in incredible pain, and it was nice to have somebody be attentive and willing to spend time with me.

Setting up an appointment through Zocdo is really convenient. This is my first time to do this. Once the proper filters are entered, identiying a dotor is very easy. The doctor's team touched base before my appointment. The office was easy to find, and very clean. The entire team, from admin to imaging, assistant to PA, just like the doctor, were all helpful, pleasant, communicated clearly. Doctor Isaac Livshetz was very thorough in explaining everything to me about my hip replacement showing me the kind of hip replacement-not one but two. His PA was very professional.
All in all, it was a most pleasant and quick visit. The follow-up visit with Dr Livshetz after he prescribed Physical Therapy could not have been better.

had a 10:15 AM appointment checked with the front desk at 10:30 and 1040 and I was just told appointments are running behind plus there was a couple with a 10 AM appointment who had not been seen yet. I took my 87-year-old sister went home even though she was in painwould be nice if they would give me a definitive answer of the Doctor will see you in 30 minutes or 40 minutes or 50 minutes. I’m sorry, but Doctor is running behind. Isn’t a good answer.

I felt like he didn't take me seriously and he was somewhat arrogant. He may be a good surgeon, but his bedside manner is horrible.

Went for a second opinion on hip replacement. Dr. Livshetz looked at my charts and I was told same thing as first physician to wait on surgery. He recommended physical therapy first and then go from there. I appreciated his candor and explanation for his recommendation. Hopefully there is relief. If not I will definitely be returning to see him for surgery as he was highly recommended by others.

I had a very sharp pain on my knee. I have recently recovered from Covid and this was a bizarre pain…. One nerve on my knee hurts quite a bit, but the entire pain is very localized to that one spot. The doctor took an X-ray to rule out a bone fracture (I knew it wasn’t bone) and prescribed topical cream to help. I really think it’s a neuroma and somehow I secretly wonder if it was a Covid related inflammation…….

Dr. Livshetz is what all MDs should aim to be. He listens and explains everything. He does not rush to see the next patient and is not hasty to do tests.
I felt comfortable with him the minute he entered the room.

The oy word that could possibly describe my whole experience is AWESOME. The doctor's bedside manner was impeccable, he listened attentively and helped me to overcome my reluctance to having surgery.. Though he couldn't help me with my particular problem, he referred me to someone that could. If there was ever a need for an orthopedic surgeon I would highly recommend him.

The doctor was very thorough in his analysis of my hip x-rays and gave a clear explanation of what’s causing the pain in my hip. I like that he suggested some simple first steps to try and remedy the problem: physical therapy, or home based core strengthening exercises, and occasional use of OTC pain medication. Also, he has a very pleasant demeanor.
