About Dr. Jack Levenson

While an undergraduate, he was heavily involved in campus leadership and was elected Student Chairperson of Campus Affairs, as well as holding other positions chosen by his peers. He then went on to attend the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree and graduated cum laude in the top 10% of his class. He completed a four-year residency at New York Presbyterian/Queens, which included valuable rotations at both NYP Columbia Medical Center and NYP Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Levenson received extensive training in all aspects of foot and ankle surgery and medicine, including trauma and reconstructive elective surgery. He also received additional training in arthroscopy. Dr. Levenson is an Associate of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons and is Board Qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons in Foot and Reconstructive Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery. As a prior collegiate soccer player, Dr. Levenson's interest in the biomechanics of the human body, specifically the foot and ankle, was piqued early on. He particularly enjoys the sports medicine aspect of his work. He is an empathetic physician who works with each patient to establish treatment plans that best fit their needs. Dr. Levenson is a native New Yorker, born and raised in Brooklyn. He feels a strong connection to New York City and Long Island and is grateful to have the opportunity to serve his community. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons and is an avid sports fan.

I love this office and my provider. I have visited 3 times, and every time has been consistently great. I’m a barber who also works with appointments and values timing. Wait time has always been short (3-10 minutes), everyone is very professional, friendly and great communicators! Over the phone and in person. The office is very clean (restroom included) and the girls at the front desk do an awesome job following up. I highly recommend this provider and this office.

I was offered a more invasive test than I went in for, and nervously accepted the offer. The exam was quick and professional; he explained everything before he did it, including why he was doing it and what he saw in real time. I usually prefer to emotionally prepare before invasive tests, but his bedside manner made the whole thing easy.
I also have a complex medical history and I've had doctors cut me off after hearing a fraction of my symptoms. This doctor treated my history like a conversation- he was actively listening, he interrupted at appropriate times to ask for details, and then he encouraged me to continue.
He offered me medication, but acknowledged that it IS possible to be over-medicated and that it wouldn't be the worst option to wait until we got the test results back. I wish he could be my PCP. Absolutely recommend!
