Dr. Robison was born and raised in Ft. Stockton, Texas. Most of his family considers west Texas home and can trace their roots all the way back to the Alamo. Dr. Robison and his family now call San Antonio home and they are eager to establish roots into the community. Dr. Robison graduated from Ft. Stockton High School in 1994. He obtained a B.A. in Political Science from Texas A&M University in 1998, and went on to complete an M.B.A. from Texas Tech University in 2000. Dr. Robison was hired into the Leadership Development Program with AT&T and was exposed to multiple areas of the telecommunications industry in his 12-year stint with AT&T. Dr. Robison decided to pursue a dream of helping others via ocular healthcare and change careers. He was accepted to the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2012 and graduated with his degree in optometry (O.D.) in 2016. Dr. Robison was a member of Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometry Honor Society, Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society and was a student fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He received the Nelson Reber Eye Open and Excellence in Primary Care scholarship awards during his time at UHCO. Dr. Robison performed his externship rotations with Sharp Eye Consultants and the United Stated Air Force at Lackland AFB, both in San Antonio. Dr. Robison has been trained in and has an interest in fitting all modes of contact lenses including soft, ortho-k, scleral and rigid gas permeable lenses along with practicing ocular primary care.

I have no complaints other than they don't give you the option of a contact lenses only exam. Dr. Robinson and the staff is very pleasant and professional. This is an improvement from a year ago where the office staff was unorganized and didn't seem to know what they were doing.

I scheduled appointments for myself and three family members. Later, I got a call from Alamo Ranch Eye, asking if I would reschedule because it was against office policy to schedule families together. They were concerned we wouldn't show up, and they'd be left with four empty slots. They should have mentioned that at the time of scheduling. Instead, they interrupted me at work and I nearly cancelled altogether. I argued and kept the appointments, making it clear that it was already a bad experience. The day of the appointments, I was getting our insurance cards out of my wallet, and the receptionist told me she needed my proof of insurance. Geez! I'm going as fast as I can! Once we got past the front desk, everything changed. Dr. Robison was absolutely fantastic with all of us, especially the kiddos. The tech and the lady (Brooke) who fitted us for glasses were wonderful. Thanks to all of them, it turned out to be a great experience, and we will be going back--as a family.
