About Dr. Alexandra Zuercher
Alexandra (Ally) Zuercher, O.D., F.A.A.O. received her Doctor of Optometry from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry (UIWRSO) in 2018. Dr. Zuercher was active in the Private Practice Club, the student chapter of the Texas Optometric Association, and was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas.
Dr. Zuercher continued her education by pursuing an Optometric Residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease through UIWRSO, spending a year working with various optometry and ophthalmology specialties to further her knowledge as an eyecare provider. She then continued her education by obtaining her fellowship from the American Academy of Optometry shortly after residency, giving her the prestigious title of F.A.A.O. Dr. Zuercher is a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, licensed to provide all types of eyecare services, from prescribing glasses and contact lenses, to treating and managing many different types of ocular diseases.
In practice since 2018, Dr. Zuercher has also participated in vision screenings at the Special Olympics of Texas and has been involved with mission trips to the Texas Valley, providing hundreds of Texans with much needed eyecare. Dr. Zuercher is a caring listener who not only provides quality eyecare and services, but also strives to be the kind of eye doctor her patients can count on for many years to come.

I was not seen by the doctor I booked but by an extern, which was fine with me. She did a good job. There’s also a lot of hidden fees if it’s your first time, so be aware. It will feel very car sales like once you get to the end and are buying your eyewear.

I would not go back to this office. Some of the front desk, people were rude and got frustrated when I asked about the reason I was charged extra. She answered you've never had an eye exam before!
The doctor rushed me and gave me the wrong prescription.
I got the glasses and I couldn't see with them. I went back for a recheck, and she said, I'll just put you back on your old prescription! I told her if I was able to see with my old prescription why would I come to get a new one? And she's just ignored it. Proceeded to gaslight me and say, maybe I was the problem.

Dr. Alexandra Zuercher was Amazing. I explained I had not been to the eye doctor in over 30 years. She did not give me a hard time or make me feel bad about that. She listened to my concerns, explained to me my results in a way I could understand. She was friendly and smiled and really just took the time during my appointment. I did not feel rushed at all. I maybe waited 5 minutes to be seen. The entire staff was amazing and friendly. I highly recommend this office!!

Great experience overall. My 6 year old daughter’s first visit for an eye appointment in which she needed glasses.
