“I didn't have to wait at all. The nurse took me back right away to give me a gown and chat for a few minutes. Once I had changed into my gown, the doctor came in right away. He listened to all my issues and was very thorough in his exam. My experience was great and I'm going back again in 2 months for some more treatments. Looking forward to it! Great experience.”

About Jalal Alghabra

Jalal H. Alghabra, MS, PA-C, joined Virginia Dermatology and Skin Surgery Center (now part of Pinnacle Dermatology) in November 2017. He has practiced dermatology for over 15 years in Michigan and North Carolina. In 2003, Jalal graduated with a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies and previously earned his bachelor’s degree, majoring in Biomedical Science with a minor in Chemistry, both from Western Michigan University. He performs surgical excisions, cryotherapy, electrodesiccation, and many other dermatologic procedures. He is certified in the use of lasers, Botox, and dermal fillers. Jalal served as President of the Michigan Dermatology Physician Assistants Association in 2013 and 2014. In 2014, he received the prestigious Physician Assistant of the Year Award from the same association. He has lectured on relevant skin diseases in dermatology at Eastern Michigan University. Prior to his dermatology career, Jalal gained five years of pharmacy experience and led research studies in a toxicology laboratory. In 2004, he obtained certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

I was over-injected with steroid in my chin and left disfigured to the point where I hide my face. It has destroyed my confidence and adversely impacted my mental and physical health.

First and foremost thank you for this application for getting me booked so quickly. I had no idea the cyst I had ruptured and became infected. Jalal came in immediately, assessed the situation, and treated me right away. He also provided reassurance along with instructions for the future. He and his staff we nice, cordial, professional and punctual. I will definitely come back if any other skin needs arise.
