This place is fantastic! I went in for my first ever head-to-toe skin cancer screening and was fairly nervous. The nurse immediately put me at ease, was very nice and explained everything about the exam to me. Dr. Ida came in and was so genuinely nice as well. He was so informative and thorough while having such a wonderful bedside manner. The entire staff here is really great. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Dr. Ida is a board-certified dermatologist who has been in practice since 2010.
He graduated from Colgate University with a B.A. in Neuroscience, and then received his Master of Science in Public Health with a concentration in Infectious Disease Epidemiology from Harvard University. He graduated from the Chicago Medical School and completed his residency in dermatology at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, where he was academic chief.
Prior to starting at D&A Dermatology, Dr. Ida was a community dermatologist at Northwestern Memorial Physicians Group (NMPG) in Deerfield, and held privileges at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital, and was a Health System Clinician at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Ida maintains active staff affiliation with Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital.
Dr. Ida is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and is a member of the Chicago Dermatological Society, the Illinois Dermatological Society, the Massachusetts Medical Society and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Ida's clinical interests include all aspects of medical dermatology with a special focus on skin
cancer screening, pigmented lesions, dermoscopy, all forms of dermatitis, and surgical dermatology to
treat skin cancers. Dr. Ida is fluent in Italian and German and speaks conversational Spanish and French.

Great doctor. I felt very comfortable and informed through the entire appointment. He listened to all of my (sometimes completely unwarranted) concerns. Good conversation and bedside manner. Scheduled follow up biopsy very fast, and follow up for other concerns fast. The office was clean, and all staff were very nice; I particularly liked the assistant with me through the entire appointment. . I really like Dr. Ida, and I also like Dr. Patel in that office. The building was easy to get to, and in a good location downtown. Very happy (and relieved) with this appointment.

He was very sarcastic and rude. Didn’t maintain professionalism and it felt like having a conversation with someone trying to be snarky rather than seeing a doctor and being treated for my medical concerns. He has horrible bedside manner and it just is a distraction because in the end I left unsatisfied and felt like I wasn’t taken care of. He also left one of the recommendations for prescriptions up to the assistant who recommended the wrong thing which caused me a lot of pain and discomfort for months. Do not recommend at all.

Dr Ida and his team were able to help me with my chronic excema condition and how to minimize the issue. My hands have never been better and if I have new skin concerns, he does a great job addressing those issues too. I would highly recommend him for a dermatologist! I've had sensitive skin all my life and it's great that I can take better care of it.

I went to see Doctor Ida for an embarrassing reason, a wart. His treatment was very effective and he did not leave a scar (like my last dermatologist did). He also noticed a mole that I had, measured it, and made note for future appointments. The entire office was very clean and aesthetically pleasing. The staff was kind and I only had a short wait.

Every employee in the office was a delight. It was my first time there and the staff kept welcoming me to the office. They genuinely cared, had a smile on their face, and were personable. I didn’t have to wait long either. They were extremely efficient and I was in-and-out if the office within 45 minutes. Dr Ida was extremely friendly and made sure I understood every detail of my treatment.
