About Dr. Samantha Phillips
Dr. Samantha Phillips is a full-time dermatologist at Derm Institute of Chicago. She is passionate about providing comprehensive, patient-centered care with a focus on general medical dermatology. Dr. Phillips treats patients of all ages, with particular clinical interests in chronic skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, and acne. She is also dedicated to skin cancer education, prevention, screening, and treatment.
Dr. Phillips earned her undergraduate degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology with honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She received her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She then completed a transitional year of training at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, followed by her dermatology residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she served as chief resident in her final year.
She is a professional member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), and the Women’s Dermatologic Society. Dr. Phillips is committed to delivering thoughtful, evidence-based care and values shared decision-making to ensure patients feel informed, empowered, and actively involved in their treatment plans.
