“I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Kwon. He was professional, a great communicator and listener. Extremely detailed. What made the visit even better was that he knew about ethnic hair specifically African - American hair. This was a surprise because not many Doctors are knowledgeable about ethnic hair or know how to treat someone with said hair because all medication is not suitable for all hair textures.
I would recommend Dr. Kwon to anyone. And I am looking forward to working with him on my skin issue. First time I am confident that my situation will be better because of Dr. Kwon.”

About Dr. Chase Kwon
Dr. Chase Kwon is a board-certified dermatologist at the Derm Institute of Chicago. Originally from Bergen County, New Jersey, Dr. Kwon completed his undergraduate studies at Cornell University, majoring in biology with a minor in nutrition. After college, he dedicated a year of service to AmeriCorps, working at a free clinic in a medically underserved area in Philadelphia. Dr. Kwon went on to attend medical school at the University of Rochester, where he completed an NIH-funded year of research under the guidance of one of the world’s leading experts in atopic dermatitis (eczema). He then completed his dermatology residency at Emory University, where he served as chief resident and graduated with distinction in ethics.
Before joining the Derm Institute of Chicago, Dr. Kwon worked in private practice in the Washington D.C. suburbs and for a not-for-profit health system in rural Ohio. He also spent a year as adjunct faculty with the Department of Dermatology at the Ohio State University. Dr. Kwon currently serves on the Professionalism & Ethics Committee of the American Academy of Dermatology and as the Young Diplomate Observer on the Board of Directors for the American Board of Dermatology. He is a published author in premier dermatology journals on topics such as actinic keratosis (pre-skin cancer), atopic dermatitis, and psoriasis.
Dr. Kwon is passionate about treating inflammatory skin disorders like atopic dermatitis and psoriasis, as well as providing thorough skin cancer screenings. His approach to care emphasizes patient education and shared decision-making.

Absolutely incredible, fantastic, spectacular doctor. He was quick and easy to talk to. I did not feel rushes and felt heard and listened to. I can tell he is highly experienced and has an enormous amount of knowledge on his specialty. My overall time spent at the office was the most efficient doctors appointment I have ever had. I was taken back immediately, and within a minute he came into the room and had a diagnosis with examples and treatment plans. He really cares for his patients and I can see that. He made sure I understood my diagnosis and treatment plan and I have never felt more relief and secure in a provider before.
