This was my mothers first appointment with Dr. Regan. She is elderly and hard of hearing and the doctor treated her like gold. He made her feel very comfortable and spent nearly an hour gathering her medical history and in conversation about her health and suggested next steps.

Dr. Regan was born in Detroit, Michigan. Accordingly, you may notice he is a Red Wings fan. He will keep this enthusiasm to a minimum when Avalanche fans come in!
He graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit in 1982. He completed a Flexible Internship in Detroit and then an Internal Medicine Residency at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver.
Dr. Regan was in private practice for 18 years prior to spending 7 years as the internist in the student health clinic at Denver University. He has been back in private practice in Highlands Ranch since 2010.
He is a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, hence the FACP designation you might notice on his lab coat.
Dr. Regan has served in organized medicine throughout his career. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the Colorado Medical Society, and the Denver Medical Society. He served on the Board of Directors of the Colorado Medical Society for six years and also served as the President of the Denver Medical Society.
Dr. Regan has been active in health care policy, as well, serving on the Board of Directors of the Colorado Foundation for Medical Care, where he is a past Chair.
He has always enjoyed teaching medical and pharmacy students; you may be asked permission for a student to visit with you. He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
For 25 years he has been the medical director serving a community of developmentally disabled individuals in Littleton, Colorado. They are growing older with Dr. Regan, and as you might imagine, their big smiles and enthusiasm bring him great joy.

I was very satisfied and happy to have found such a caring doctor. He took his time with me and since this was the first visit with him, went over all my past medical history. I feel that I was very lucky to have found him as my doctor.
