Getting to know Jamie Stiffler

My name is Jamie and I'm a board certified nurse practitioner in psychiatry/mental health. I provide mental healthcare to adult patients over the age of 18 and treat anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, gender dysphoria, OCD, sleep difficulty, and weight management concerns. I only do online visits for patient's who are physically located in the state of Pennsylvania at this time. I enjoy listening to my clients concerns, reviewing treatment options, and determining the best course of action in collaboration/partnership with my clients.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I like to really listen to what my clients are struggling with and thoroughly understand their needs and perspective. Then together, we will review treatment options and come up with a plan of action that is feasible for your lifestyle and schedule. We will create goals to work towards better mental and physical health and wellbeing for you. I look forward to helping you improve your mental wellness!

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first session will be between 45-60 minutes long. This is the session where I get to know you and understand the things about you that make you uniquely you. Then, I present treatment options and we decide on the best course together. If you decide to try a new medication, we will discuss side effects, contraindications, drug interactions, and how long the medication typically takes to produce a noticeable change. Follow up appointments are shorter, typically 20-30 minutes and we review how your feeling (better/worse), if you're having any side effects from medications or any new symptoms, review safety information (if applicable), and modify your plan of care if applicable.
