I am a Family Physician, through my roles in patient care, research, leadership, and community service, I've cultivated a deep passion for enhancing healthcare and medical education. I'm dedicated to integrating medical science with technology to further elevate patient care.
In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs?
A PCP should be the first point of contact for a patient, serving as a trusted medical advisor and advocate. They should provide comprehensive and holistic care, addressing both physical and behavioral health needs. This includes preventive care, chronic disease management, acute care, and coordination of specialty care. Beyond the clinical aspect, the PCP should understand the social determinants that affect a patient's health, offering guidance, resources, and referrals to ensure that both physiological and psychological needs are met. By building a long-term, trusting relationship with patients, the PCP can facilitate early detection, timely intervention, and integrated care, ensuring the overall well-being of their patients.

In my spare time, I love to travel and explore new cultures. At home, I immerse myself in pottery, finding it a therapeutic way to express creativity.
