In your opinion, what should be the role of a primary care provider for a patient, taking into account both physical health and behavioral health needs? To me, a primary care provider’s role is to treat the whole person—body, mind, and environment—while fostering a relationship built on trust. This means creating a safe, supportive space where patients feel comfortable sharing their concerns. A PCP is also a central person in the patient’s healthcare journey helping manage chronic conditions, supporting behavioral health needs, promoting prevention, coordinating with specialists and collaborating with patients to build a personalized care plan that fits their life. Tell us a little bit about yourself. What do you like to do in your spare time? In my free time you can find me reading fantasy novels, watercolor painting, hiking, biking, doing triathlons, or at a K-pop concert.
