“Janice was friendly, although I didn't feel fully heard when it came to my concerns on my hormones and if there was a correlation with my weight gain. Was just asked if I would consider a GLP-1, and suggested my issues were because of my age (I'm only 30 lol). The nurse taking my bloodwork touched my stomach and asked me if I had a baby in my belly and just said "oh" when I said I didn't, which I thought was extremely rude and made me uncomfortable. She then continued to complain about her coworkers. Really weird and unprofessional. Maybe everyone was having a bad day, I'm hoping the next visit goes better.”

I highly recommend Janice Liang for her thorough and thoughtful care. She was so well prepared for my appointment (with all my radiology reports and medical history reviewed before she came in to talk with me). She made wonderful recommendations, and quick referrals for a sono and follow up with my regular doctor for fibroid care.

I made my annual exam last minute and she had availability. I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to doctor’s appointments and put them off until the last possible second.. Janice put me at ease. She was super knowledgeable, professional, and had great bedside manner. On the website it says there’s a copay, but when I called they confirmed that my annual exam was fully covered by my insurance. So maybe call if you’re unsure. I will be going back to her for future appointments.

I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Liang for the first time, and she was amazing. She’s thorough, empathetic, and incredibly knowledgeable. I wasn’t asked much about my medical history, and I have some extensive/ important diagnoses to note. In fact, I wasn’t asked many questions at all. I had to interrupt the appointment to tell them about my history and concerns. It felt like I was being rushed out instead of taking the time to actually get to know my needs. Also, during my annual exam, she completely uncovered the whole front of my body without warning. I am used to doctors being a little more discrete with annual exams, or at least communicating what they’re doing before they do it.
Also, when I asked if STD testing was covered by my insurance, she said “Well, I don’t know, you have X insurance” and left it up to me to decide if I wanted it or not. Providers are supposed to disclose coverage/cost of care before an appointment in NY.
