Dr. Teixeria was great, no complaints at all with her personally. However, the practice had me fill out more forms once I got there (apparently their system doesn't work with ZocDoc, or something like that?) so checking in online through ZocDoc did nothing in terms of avoiding paperwork once I got there. I also had to wait over an hour to be seen.

Dr Teixeira is hands down the most amazing Dr (ob/gyn or otherwise) that I've ever met with. She was thorough, friendly and relatable. I've never felt so comfortable being honest with a Dr. With that said, do yourself a favor and make sure you're going to her Brooklyn Heights or Manhattan location. I made the mistake of going to the Kensington location and was certain I was going to have an organ harvested. The practice is legitimately in an apartment building. And not an apartment building that has been fully renovated and multiple medical practices can be found within. No, I went at 8am and families were leaving for work/school. Fortunately, I was able to find the office by the hand written sign on the door that said "New York OB/GYN" scrawled in permanent marker. I was pretty uneasy and wanted to leave every step of the way, until I met with Dr. Teixeira. That's how amazing she is.

Dr Janice Teixeira was kind, warm, funny and easy to talk to. I hadn't been to the Gyno in a long time and she was not shaming or judgmental in any way about that or any other aspects of my life and body. An ideal doctor situation, but surprisingly rare. Highly recommended!

She is a very nice woman. She asked very few questions and spent about 3 minutes on the actual exam. That part surprised me. I thought the office was well run. The staff was nice and friendly and the whole space was clean.

The doctor was very nice, took her time to listen. I was in for a routine annual check-up. The office does NOT, however, receive the ZocDoc forms, so I had to fill them out all over again. The front desk person said that they were working on it since July, but the doctor had no idea it was possible to receive all the forms beforehand.
