Dr. Borgerding also provides comprehensive gynecologic care and family planning services. As a skilled sonographer, he frequently incorporates office ultrasound into the evaluation of concerns such as abnormal bleeding, pelvic pain, fibroids, ovarian cysts, polyps, and endometriosis. He offers both surgical and nonsurgical treatment options and partners with each patient to choose an approach that aligns with her priorities and lifestyle. Dr. Borgerding completed his undergraduate education at Washington University in St. Louis before earning a master’s degree in History and Philosophy of Science at University College London. He subsequently earned both his medical degree and PhD in Immunology from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where his research explored how the microbiota shapes the immune system. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at The Mount Sinai Hospital, where he received multiple honors for clinical and surgical excellence, including recognition from AAGL for excellence in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.
